Sunday Stitchers' Mug Mats

I haven't had much opportunity to spend time on the computer for the last week or so but I thought I would share with you the Mug Mats made by some of the members of the Sunday Stitchers.  We decided to have a Mug Mat Swap and here is the selection of Mug Mats brought along by the members who braved Cairn's "Big Wet" to stitch with us today at Cairns Craft Centre.

Kathy really got into the spirit of things and made lots and lots of these cute little quilts which she found used a considerable quanity of bits from the scrap basket and also gave her an opportunity to try some new techniques.  Here are just a few of the ones she had to show us today.

The mug rugs are a great idea Frances and do give you the chance to try something out on a very small scale. After all, nothing is lost if you don't like the technique and at the very least you have a practical, decorative item at little cost. Has just given me an idea for our next group challenge!Hmmm!
